The sun shines in my heart,
Whenever you walk by,
Each and every time we part,
A teardrop finds my eye,
Cause the moment I first saw you,
I saw beauty just skin deep,
But as I got to know you,
You made a quiet leap,
Into my heart and in my mind,
And showed me I was wrong,
In that moment I did find,
An angel kind and strong,
I saw a heart as pure as gold,
A soul that none could marr,
A love that only one may hold,
As priceless as the stars,
Your beauty goes without compare,
Like sunshine in the skies,
You left me standing staring there,
Just gazing in your eyes,
Your voice so soft like summer rain,
Whispers in my ear,
You hold me tight and take my pain,
And melt away my fear,
Many things I could live without,
And many that I do,
Hatred pain, intense self-doubt,
But not a life without you,
To me you are the stars above,
Shining bright and clear,
Nothing could contest my love,
When I hold you near.
I sincerely hope you gave this to the girl you wrote it about, if you didn't you have done her a disservice. Every woman should be given such lovely poetry written about her. Even if such feelings are not returned, she deserves to know that someone out there loves her like this. Put yourself in her place wouldn't you want to read a poem a girl secretly in love with you wrote about your? I bet you would. Anyway, I ADORED this poem. You wrote it so beautifully. What heart you put into it. Had it been written for me, I'd have read it, in front of you , cried a bit with a smile on my face and then preceded to kiss you senselessly so if you have not given this to your girl then please do so. If you don't have the courage then type it up and mail it to her anonymously so she can at least have the pleasure reading your words. Don't deny any woman this beauty you have created. Promise me!
