The Best Forward Player
John was the best forward in the soccer team, had been for years. When the team was losing, John was there to score a goal and win the game. Of all the soccer players in the team, he was the best, not the captain though, but the one who could save the team in a second. All of the soccer teammates loved him since he was also a good friend and treated everyone like a brother.
When the semifinals arrived, he got really nervous since it was the most important tournament of the year. This tournament was between countries, and he was representing Mexico’s. They all went out to the field and started warming up. The coach called him and asked him to focus since he was having a hard time with his wife. John said he was going to do as always and win the game against the United States, the contrary team.
The game started and John was doing great as always, he started with a goal at minute 9:00. The captain from the US got really mad since he did a research in John’s profile and found that he never failed a single goal, and he started with one. The time passed and John started to look tired and mad. During the half time the coach saw John a little more nervous and asked him what was going on. John said nothing was wrong, that he just needed time. The team continued without John and the US started scoring and winning. John saw that his team needed him so he decided to go back and play. John did it again and scored. Finally the game ended and Mexico won 3-2. The team was very happy with John since he got them to the final game.
Henry was John’s best friend, and knew when John wasn’t ok. He went to him and asked him what was wrong. John told him he was having problems with his wife since he found out she was cheating on him with Spain’s goalkeeper, the team that was also going to the final. Henry told him to talk to Rachel, John’s wife, but John told him she had left their apartment. During this talk, Henry asked John to focus on the team and the final game. John was sure he was going to do great as always.
It was 3 nights before the final game that John couldn’t stop thinking about Rachel’s recent actions. After a lot of thinking, he got really mad and asked himself why he hadn’t done anything about it. He went to the hotel where Spain’s team was staying. He was all alone in the middle of the night waiting for something to stop him. Jack, a defense from the Spain’s team, saw him and called Will, the goalkeeper. As soon as John decided to go home, Will yelled at him “What are you looking for? Rachel’s not here” and suddenly he and all of Spain’s team laughed. This made John got furious. He turned back and went for him. John punched Will in the face. This made all of Spain’s team mad and they all went after John. They left John unconscious in the middle of the streets.
The next day Henry went over John’s apartment and didn’t find him. He called Rachel but she didn’t know anything about him. Henry then knew where to find him. He went to the hotel and found him there, lying on the floor. He took him to the hospital and the doctors took care of him.
The final game arrived and John wasn’t doing really well. The coach was really mad at him so he didn’t want him to play at the beginning of the game. Mexico’s team wasn’t doing well and needed John in the game. There were 10 minutes left and the score was 2-1, Spain winning. The coach decided to let John play. As always, John scored twice; one in the very first minute he started playing and the other one in the last remaining seconds. These goals changed the score into 3-2 and made Mexico the champion.
