He came to earth simply to die;
He did not count the cost;
He had a mission to fulfill;
He came to save the lost.
He knew the road was painful;
He knew the burden ahead;
He would lay in a tomb;
He would be among the dead.
He came and he suffered;
He did so to save my soul;
For this I am ever grateful;
He died to make me whole.
