They have seen the world fogged; clouded over by death and blood
And their dreams have been clogged by the government’s flood
Of lies and terror tactics the media’s dramatization
Of the horrible antics that’s supposed to be our salvation
So, how can freedom be gained by the kids dying in ditches?
Bombs above their head exploded the Earth rained on their sad wishes
The prayers rarely heard through the thick gunfire
As their vision becomes blurred and they finally retire
They’re stuck in the midst of a world unfurled
And we only get the gist of what they have been hurled
Into without a clue they just wanted to protect
Oh, if only we knew the total affect
The families torn apart by American lead
All the broken hearts and those now dead
The empty bellies that now abound
Those who must bury a body never found
We’re giving them democracy they’ll be a greater nation
This is great hypocrisy: Freedom through destruction
Can death really teach us the path to equality?
Or do we preach of unfair policy?
