You say you want to know me
That's cute
You want to know my life story
You act like it's mandatory
If I told you
You couldn't conceive it
So I'll just conceal it
I can't help but envy
Those who speak
My lips are too heavy
With eyes staring
My past is too scary
To answer such questions
I stumble in hesitation
If I gave you the invitation
Inside to what happened
To what is blackened and blue
You still wouldn't have a clue
It takes going through
I wish my past was simple
I wouldn't have to use symbols
Or speak in subliminal
Hoping you catch
But that's far fetched
A Poem About Experience
The best instructor. Understanding is a life-long goal seems but ears are sealing wax closed - agendas, agendas, agendas. Everyone wants to lead but have not the acquired skills. Listening is passe, doing paramount - achieving is a whole other matter. Write on.. - allets -
