Beside them,
you will find a nurse,
She is not offended when people angrily curse,
But Instead takes on the burdens of their hurt,
She is not dressed to impress,
Her scrubs can be a mess,
From helping her patients at her best,
Often her demands,
Make her wish she had more hands,
As she runs to keep up with the clock,
If only she could make time stop,
Her stomach remains empty,
As she skips her break,
To ensure her patients are safe,
Those white walls all around her,
Of the hospital halls,
The faint sound of an ambulance calls,
It's lingering smell of antiseptics,
And the hard floor beneath,
her ever moving feet,
When she heads home for the night,
after getting off,
Being a nurse does not stop,
Putting others before herself,
She's Always there to help.
