Put on a happy face and smile

That’s the world we live in

Wear a mask and hide

No one wants to see the truth



For once I wish someone would open their eyes

And then they’ll see the pain others hide

They’ll hear the silent cries of the lost ones

They can then finally understand the hidden truth



Everyone judges someone, before they even know

Before they even stop and think

Before they try to listen

Instead they cause fear and pain



That’s why others wish to hide

Hide inside themselves and never breathe

That’s why they silently cry and hope for the end

What all they really want is to be heard
