The SHORE OF ZEN

The Shore Of Zen

where did you go my friend/
i saw hope when i scoped from your lens/
i'm getting so low/
without my old gem/
you said you were my self/
and it got me going again/
then you left/
through that door in my chest/
now there's a hole where you left/
sometimes i hear your message/
when i'm focused on the breath/
and this adds a little zest/
to whatever lays ahead/
Do i long to converse/
with my oldest friend/
oh yes/
so i try to extend/
my hold on this test/
but the unknown is your address/
i know this redemption will free the regrets/
that i knowingly repress/
and overwhelm those aspects/
that made me so depressed/
i dreamt/
that we soared to the edge of the universe/
and back again/
connected with so much more than just a 6th sense/
i met you in the Nth dimension/
upon the shores of zen/
you gave me boundless strengths/
then i gently fell back to my earthly flesh/
quenched/ with an eternal yearning/
to reach you once again/
before this ends.
