Logic I

If our hands make dreams,

And they are always within reach,

Then so are our dreams.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I use this poem to teach logic statements to my children, they are special educational needs so most stuff goes over their heads. It may not be a definitive haiku, I've stuck roughly to the 5,7,5 syllabic structure. I find the thought is the main value of the poem, most of our dreams are crafted by our own work with our hands, and they are always within our reach. Therefore, your dreams must be in reach too, as they are no further from you than your own two hands. I like to associate this imagery with clasped hands, or the cladagh image.

I dedicate this poem to my dreams, and the children who make them come true.
