Deficient days start out

sunlight peeks through

shaded windows

Mommy rings in unison

in the background

Smell of bacon and eggs

cappuccino for me please

mind is whirling of today's requirements

getting everyone dressed

then its my turn

for a quick shower

have to hurry

don't wanna be late

for the tea party

running through my mind

almost knocking over

my daughter sings

mommmmmmmyyyyyyyyy hurrrrrryyyyyyyy

quietly I sit

reflecting on my daughters beauty

remembering past times

we've shared

Good mornin' Mr. Bear and Hello Dolly!

oh and Bunny, how could I forget you!

greeting all as we sip our pretend tea and then clean up

My son yells in the background

MOMMY I HAVE THE BASES READY

Outside I run

for a game of wiffle ball

that even Bunny attends

looking at my son

growing strong and tall

independent

remembering...

Running back inside

picking up pieces of memories

that I will forever cherish

Errands never stop

where did this day go?

collapsing on the couch

energy spent

reflecting on how time

seems to fly by unnoticed

listening to unlabored breaths

Finding some peace

in this hectic days memories

wishing I had time to write it
