Autumn Splendor

Folder:
Nature Poems

Walking in bottomless vales

Tearful lore over solemn graces

Fills my memories with corporate silence

Paths made of yesterdays shade

Falling silently to the ground

In luxurious carpets

Poems in trees and lolling brooks

sad waters echo words

Of yesterdays sunshine

Blanketing memories of past

with golden hues that sigh

Of natures brilliant artists

Wafting by the stagnant tide

Amidst its earnest woe

Ear bent towards its babbling song

Autumn's flowers fragrant top

glides specter into the scene

Tones framed in ivy clad garment

Each nook holds destiny

As it steals into winters sleep

All its splendors unspoken

In murmurs of returning life

Hopes drift through wanton airs

Awaiting the worlds rebirth

A lovely poem that paints such a vivid picture of the splendor of autumn – lovely metaphors and imagery – so well-written!

Kind regards
