Everything Goes Numb

One thing that I've never understood is how we got here.

No no, I'm not talking about the human race or anything. Nothing that philosophical.

No, I mean how we individually got here. How we reached this point in our existence.

I mean, I see people who have been around a lot longer then I ever will, and I can't help but ask questions.

How do you deal with life after everything has gone numb?

Yes, you heard me right. Numb.

Let me rephrase that to a simpler question.

How have you come this far after everything that make you who you are has faded away? After feeling so hollow?

Now, stick with me for a minute, I'm not done explaining.

We all have felt a limb go numb at some point, right? Now imagine that on the inside. Imagine that feeling in your heart, or your brain.

Or a better way to put it, imagine that feeling in your mind and in your soul.

That experience where your lesser emotions die off, until only the extremely powerful ones remain. Like love or hatred.

That experience where your grip on reality is shaken, and ultimately weakened.

How do you deal with that? Do you just press on and hope that the fake emotions you project may someday feel genuine?

Do you just learn to cope with the death of your personality, accepting that your no longer truly human?

So, once again, I'll ask. How do you deal with life after everything has gone numb?

Cause I'd really appreciate an answer. I'd like to know if I'm handling it correctly.

Great write

It sux that we get there.

I feel it's the others that take Us there.

We are being taught to worship

The rich and famous

And materialism

And to hell with

Your fellow man

Kind eats their young.

One day at a time...

I wish there was a simple cure for this. But learning to feel again isn't something we can rush. You have to make a commitment to improving your life and nurturing your body and mind. It takes time, but it gets better every day. The first step is always the hardest.

Peace and Love,

Also

The parts of yourself you feel you have lost are never gone for good.

They will come back. And you will feel again. Just be patient with yourself.

Peace and Love,
