Teenage Dreams

I don’t wanna join the army
Don’t care what my Granddad said
Not going to Afghan or Libya
Loose my legs
Or even end up dead

I’m staying here drinking beer
Out all night with my mates in the park
Smash things up
Act dead tough
Not for me the Army Lark

Gunna have a kid with my girl
I’m Seventeen now time is about right
Get a flat sniff some glue
What’s your problem?
You wanna fight?

Join the army you must be barmy
Were are an army me an all my mates
So shove your medals
I’m not jealous
One day Il have a council house on the new estates.

Wow, that was eye opening. I

Wow, that was eye opening. I mean, im not like the teens you talk about, but i see if alot here where i live as well. Its really stupied, and they are just wasteing their lives away, doing things they shouldnt do.
I dont understand it at all, and i dont think i ever will. Maybe if they did join the military, it would turn their lives around, and make them be truely gratefull, for what their grandfathers did, for them, so they could live in freedom. maybe they would understand, and do something in life, that means alot, instead of wasteing their lives, and potential on drinking, vandalising, hanging out with friends *(that will prob disapear over time), acting tough, when they are just some immature punks. Like i said, it is really eye opening. Its a poem that teachs, i just hope it teachs people right. Very good.
