I am no longer here
where you see me
where you wish upon
with all your greatest dreams
at least those of feeling love

I am no longer here
though the seams meet
between my light and your eyes
i was snuffed out yesteryear
to reach you just took so long

And now you believe in me
you're sure i'm there
because every night
all your glances see
there's something there where i stood

In that starry sky

where you see me
all the Worlds i've gone
with all the light years between
but she knows she chose the distance

I am no longer here
though i mean to be
becon of light to your eyes
i was snuffed out yesteryear
still trying to protect your voyage

So i left a residue here
you're sure i'm there
because every night
all your glances see
there's something there were i stood

In that starry sky
Marble-sized
that you pounded with a hammer
flattened into just a picture
I was gone on impact
But i left an imprint
You finally feel it
You wish upon it
To travel to it
To hold it close
..a picture frame
