you got in your car

heading to a restaurant

i guess that i have forgot

that i've been here before



have i let you slip away

it's just..a first date

but who knows where it could go

seen before how last chances unfold



i have to wait

no more when you come home

to tell you how i feel

and then you turn around



and

you say you couldn't go through with it

not without me on the other end of the GPS

hey you know this moment should be just between us

and to think right when i was about to confess



you said i'm where you want to be this evening

with the flick of a switch you made all the world disappear

so we spent the night telling eachother these feelings

it's amazing how this time it worked out so different

was it my frame of thought that turned the keys to heaven

i cannot quite explain

but waited for this timeless cusp

fireflies amongst the stars
