reflecting back,
left alone
no where to turn
but old
like the leaves
stuck under that
stone bridge
where the pond dies
but that stone bridge makes me smile
the sun rises over fourty three
through the blades of a pine tree
the car is cold but in four or five
minutes it'll be off to worklines
driving with two people i tried to know
flickering light through windows heading home
says i wish i didnt get to find out
twilight's soon reflecting off the water
where the pond dies
at that stone bridge i can smile
i'll just lean on the stone wall
over look the water
the leaves are turning color
my world keeps changing
you wrote me a letter goodbye
i didn't believe you would try
back then thought we would waste more time
in faith the ledge was a happy ending
and we did,
us like the leaves
stuck under that
stone bridge
where the pond dies
but that stone bridge makes me smile
i'll just lean on the stone wall
over look the water
the leaves are turning color
my world keeps changing
