The Pheonix Flake

Oh, it snowed today
A flake fell today
A single flake came down
From a puffy greyish cloud

Yea, I saw it
I trapped it
In a glass jar
But it melted

Before I reached the freezer box
Took mere seconds off the clock

To store it
But I saw it
Wish I could prove it
Walk you to it

Unveil it for posterity
It's only in my memory

I might be the only person in Pheonix city limits
Who knows a snow storm of this proportion did exist

But it snowed today
Oh, it snowed today
I held the Phoenix flake...it was amazing

Author's Notes/Comments:

Just a silly poem for the season, inspired by a talk with a pen pal who has never seen snow in person. :)
