Shades Of Autumn
At last, a welcomed light Autumn breeze,
whistling passed steepled roofs,
gently lifting branches of the bowing sycamore trees
lining dull gray sidewalks still toasty warm
from the sweltering heat of the day before.
Departing summer flees threads of deep purple clouds
leaching westward from the eastern sky,
inky streams clawing their way into lighter shades of dusk.
The new season has cast her dye.

Ah! yes ,
The die is cast, summer has past, the harvest must last...

A whimsical write!
and do I love Autumn?
Why, but Sir!
It 'tis my favorite month! <3
Very well done. ^.^

In Summer I Sing of Snow
In Summer I Sing of Snow
Summer Solstice demands
the poet's art, but If
in February I sing
of Autumn
what will I sing
in Winter?
If I compose Fall when
snow still freezes around
cold howling winds,
shall I write of Spring
when the robins migrate
and draw valentines
in summer?
