They say to think logical
But what is logical when it comes to emotional?
Some say there's a difference
But you're not part of that preference
It's not comical

Your past has made your vision cloudy
Every time I see you, I want to say sorry
For your first fall
I know it wasn't my fault at all
But it's out of sympathy

I know you've been so hurt
I know you feel so sure
But I'm afraid that because of your first fling
You won't be able to make another cling
It's put you in a blur

If I get hurt, I don't care
If you get hurt, I couldn't bare
I know we'll get there eventually
And I should be patient without thinking negatively
But it just doesn't seem fair

I know you're just trying to be careful
And you don't want to have a sequel
But I just want to tell you
That through and through
I will always trust in you.
