In darkness I do sit

Cold, alone, and numb

My heart beating, beating, beating

But I don’t know where from



My clock has ticked down

I’ve run out of time

And killing off the innocent

Is not my only crime



I’ve robbed and been robbed

I’m a liar, a thief, and a cheat

And if you see me walking you

Should stay on your side of the street



But you won’t see me for what I am

I’m good at my disguise

Even though my inner soul

Screams, and sobs, and cries



She is watching, you should know

She’s counting down my days

Waiting for the day to come

When I’m caught up to my ways



She doesn’t even hide from me

She sees me and she’ll wave

And I just smile wanly

Because I know that I'm her slave





One day she’ll come and get me

Holding out her arms

Take this monster from you all

And deliver you from harm



Take me down to my home

Hell is where I lie

Believe that this is the truth

When you see me passing by



I’ve lost all of my purity

Pissed away all innocence

I’ve mastered at this cruelty

And stirred up all this ignorance



And if I die you’ll all be glad

Glad to see me gone

Even though I had no choice

I was just the Devil’s pawn



She will see me walking

This monster that He made

And she will bring me forth

And from this world I’ll fade



But maybe soon I’ll see the light

And because I’ve been betrayed

My past will be forgiven

And my debt will be repaid
