You make me feel like a child.

Like I am once again learning my own body parts and what they do. Finding my feet and hands and staring at them like I didn't know they existed.

But, now I am too old to try and bend myself to fit them in my mouth.

When you kiss me on the cheek as you meet and leave me I turn my head as my rooting reflex kicks in, only this time I am not looking for food from my mother but to catch your lips with my own. I don't yet understand that I cannot have what is not mine.

The idea of object permanence has not yet stuck in my head, but sugar, I have representational thoughts down. I can't see what is under your clothes, but I can imagine.

You make me feel like I am just now learning how to walk, my legs are made of jello and I balance just as easily on them.

This is imprinting, babes, I am learning love from you and maybe I haven't been able to grasp the law of conservation. Just because the look is different doesn't mean it isn't the same thing.

But you don't look like any of the other girls that broke my heart.
