When God first made the Earth there was peace, there was love and kindness, and there was a beauty humanity will never see again. There were no wars or atomic bombs hidden in underground facilities by God in case humans got out of hand, no when God ruled as government we didn't have these problems.
And then man grew more powerful in thought and strength and God became an afterthought, a figure to be worshipped on Sundays and thought of no more on any other day of the week.
When God was brought into the days of the week it was to bastardize his name in quotes taken out of context to justify hating another human being, to fight against something that God had no problem with.
Yet man and woman teach their children this way, that their opinions are also out Lords just because they can take a few words from the bible here and there and spell out a battle plan for world hate and religious intolerance.
They take the Lords promises and tell themselves it is only for them and that Saint Peter will let no one else in. They tell rape victims it is there fault, tell women in abusive marriages to stay there because you will go to Hell if you get away from the man that is hurting you and your children, they tell men who died in war for this country that gives you freedom to practice your own religion that God wanted them to die.
Tell me where is our God now? Lost in translation from people who never learned to read God's words for what they are. Peace, love, understanding, rejoicing, doing the right thing, being the better man until everyone is the best of men, until women and men live in peace again as equals and neither property to the other. Where men and women are free to love each other and their neighbor as friends and family once more.
Somewhere my God and your God became different people. Your God punishes and does little else other than tell you, just you, that you are going to heaven. My God? My God loves everyone and everything and forgives and forgets and is a Father, he will punish, but only to straighten you up, like any good dad should. He is a neighbor, a Father, a friend, your Lord.
He has never broken any of his promises and now it is our turn as man and women to honor ours again.
