Her Name is Unimportant

Her name is unimportant,
But you can taste it if you want to lick it off my lips.
It's the guilt and foundation that still resides upon them.
If you look close enough at the shelves of evidence you can see the remains of red lipstick.
The same I pushed over them just to see if I could look as beautiful as my muse.
Her name in unimportant,
But her visage is forever burned into my retnias by the pure glow of her skin.
The way she tilts her head or walks with the tiny shuffling movement
That speak of a grace unseen by the rest of the world.
Her name is unimportant,
But the touch of her hand is.
The way her fingers run through her hair.
The way years run smoothly down her face, rivers over the pale skin.
Her name is unimportant,
Because no matter what you call her it will always be the same.
The way you call out to her in love and joy like any syllably that holds enough meaning
To make her turn and look at you is beautiful.
The sounds should be valued, should be said slow enough to feel your mouth
Caress the letters and your throat constrict around hard sounds.
Her name is unimportant but I love her.
I love her and she tastes like you and tears.

very very good stuff. There's

very very good stuff. There's so much want and ache in this. I loved it.

"It is a terrible thing to be so open. It is as if my heart put on a face and walked into the world" -- Sylvia Plath.

Thank you!

Haha, thank you. It's hard sometimes not to just break down and write angsty but true poems like the angsty teenager I am, so I did and thus this was born! Thank you for commenting, it means a great deal. :3
