I guess if it's the same old story
Mine isn't worth telling
I never slew a dragon
I never saved a life
I am just a person in the crowd
So am I

Just another dreaming girl
Another ambitious boy
It's all the same, is it not?
Another wish and dream to be sought
I never slew a dragon

But today I make it happen
Something to write down and be read
today I pick up the sword
Today I reach out my hand
I never slew a dragon
I never saved a life
But I'm just on person
And now's a great time to start

I've never climbed a mountin
I've never yet flown
I am just a person
Another in the crowd
So am I

But here's the time to let it go
fly fast and free today
I'll walk this road and take it far
the rest is to be written
I've never slew a dragon
I have never saved a life.
I am just a person

Because today I make it happen
Something to write down and to be read
If I am going to die and live one day
Let it be in my own time
I have never climbed a mountain
I have never yet flown

But that won't stop me from trying
Because I believe in dreams
I believe in wishes and in magic
What more do I need?

And this is my new life.
