We be soldiers three,
missing something from us be,
lost in war our innocence gone,
good dreams traded in for brawn
~
We be soldiers two,
that this could happen, we knew
left our children and wives,
just to save their lives
~
I am soldier alone
all chances of surviving are blown,
too far in to get out,
no one to come, even if I shout
~
We be widows three
missing something from us be,
lost in war our innocence gone,
good dreams traded in for cries long gone.
In the last stanza first
In the last stanza first line, you need to correct "three". Also last stanza last line you need to correct "dreams". I am in the army... very good poem. I absolutely love it!!! :)
