I lost everything I ever wanted,
in a game I didn’t know how to play.
Moving myself with the pieces,
I moved across the board.
I had forgotten,
I was nothing but a pawn.
In the end I guess I’m nothing,
But I refuse to fade.
I lost everything I ever wanted,
everything but my pride.
I realize it’s too late to take back my moves.
Yet I refuse to regret that which got me here.
Even though I lost,
Everything I had ever wanted,
In a game I didn’t know how to play.
Personified Countries
I'm soooo glad this was not a person. So often I see women writing who have no egos, no self awareness as a female, all the good stuff...to lose because of other is ofen an occurance, but failing and losing everything is the ultimate definition of tragedy - I didn't get a game, I missed the mark clearly - Lady A p.s. Beavis asked me to check you out, but i think i've read you before - Crews.
Hetalia
Though you wrote it with the death of Prussia in mind, I can relate this poem to a lot of foolish choices I made and losing everything as a consequence. Definitely brought me back to my past relationships and the mistakes I made that led to the break ups. Oh well you live and you learn and you love again. Kudos ! Loved the poem.
It really was a mix of
It really was a mix of feelings but at the time I had finished a FanFic about Prussia and his last thoughts and it was so sad. And I wrote this. Originally it was a song, but then it turned into this poem.
If your mirror doesn't find you one of the most beautiful people it has ever seen, punch it and find a better mirror.
I like it.
Wow, this is really good. I used to read Hetalia, this is a great poem. Keep writing!!!
