Trapped

Twenty years came and went
So much wasted time spent
She looks up to the sky for an answer
Wondering why this consumes like cancer.
Memories seep from her veins
Leaving behind only blood stains
Scars left on her skin and soul
Desiring the life someone stole.
She can't help but to ask for a sign
That maybe life has not left her behind
She feels nothing but empty inside
Behind her pain, she lives to hide.
She reaches out, hands always fall
Screaming, but no one hears the call
Trapped within herself, she dies
She dies slowly and no one cries.
