She sits in the window
rain pouring past her face
hoping to find another
to blame in this disgrace
There is no one out there
no one left inside
to take on this shadow
no hearts to abide
Her soul sits not empty
not wanton for shame
though she sought out their helping
called each out by name
Sorrow filling the sockets
they seek out, needing
absence grew colder
the heart and it's pleading
You must rejoin them
the living and lies
seek guidance that prospers
from prying eyes
Take heed of her warning
take step off that shelf
in sorrow you take root
finding oneself
{Origional}
she sits by the window
while rain pours past her face
hoping to find someone else
to blame for her disgrace
but there is no one
inside or out
no one left to blame
only this time her soul is not empty
not full of regrets and shame
still sorrow filles her eyes
because she thought she saw some help
yet the absence has made her wise
and taught her to not rely only on others
but to save some reliance for herself
and also listen to guidance of others
just to help find oneself
its well writen i mean it and its dark but yet not ya know what i mean
Good job Kasi. Seriously.
Self-Reliance
Great subject for poetry.

Discovery occurs only
after the voyage. In the mind
the purposefulness of self-think
is a novel idea.

Desultry, inward balancing
with outward, slings the hair
back and confrontation
of self-defined reality
creates a blend of cynicism
and expectation.
