that was actually not what i was going for, i wrote this in a time of despair over modernity and a feeling like no avenue in life is open for a fulfilling future - when a priest "censes" something they are offering incense in prayer and blessing what they are offering it for, likewise my dying ambitions are offered to God as an incense for the modern world.

But then, I think we live in the most exciting time in history-tv to the computer chip. The past only seems to be the greener grass. Life's pace has sped up though, a lot (see Toffler).
