destruction is inevitable,
all creation dies.
dying for distraction,
we kill to stay alive.
everyone is hungry,
no one's satisfied.
some have more than others,
but that could be a lie..
every form of leisure
is just a compromise:
to sell your future seizure
for instant gratified.
we are the recievers
administered by life
obstinate believers
who keep up with the light
how comfortable is failure?
how difficult is faith?
if death is death, my sister,
then why do i still wait?
if something else is with us
as terrible as fate
i dread the day i meet Him
and answer for my weight:
for all the things i haven't done
or even set to try,
and all the people i can't love,
the children i've let die.
i'm tentatively waking up
and stumbling outside
hoping i can hope someday
that death scares me to life
The last two lines
Those are keepers
My friend.
The promise
And the lie.
We have to live
When we have life
For toooo soon
We shall die.
