All I know is disappointment,
everything I love finds a way to leave me.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong,
but I feel this is all that love will ever be.

I'm drowning in the river,
fading away as the tide pulls me through.
I wouldn't call this comfort,
but this is far more comforting than you.

You said you'll never hurt me,
oh how I wish that this was true.
You picked up my fragile heart off the pavement,
and carelessly tore it into two.

I hold on to everything I've lost,
my heart lies scattered once again,
and I hate everything I have,
it too will leave me in the end.
