What is already done
You can only ask
For forgiveness
And move on

That should be
Asked for
Never is
What then
You could
Hold on
To that hate
And seek revenge
But how would
That make you
Any better
Than them
Or you could
As hard as it is
Let it go
And forgive them anyway
Not for their sake of course
But for yours
The past hurts
Believe me I know
But dwelling on it
Kills from the inside
Again believe me
I know
I will never trust
Those who wronged me
But they have
My forgiveness
Not for their sake
But for mine
If for no other reason
Than me being able
To finally move on
