If we spent
More time
Lifting
Each other up
And less time
Destroying
Each other
And putting
Each other down
Imagine
If instead of hate
We were taught
To love
And learn from
Imagine
Instead in ignorance
We lived for tolerance
And understanding
Imagine
If we practiced
What we preached
Instead of just
Trying to tell
Everyone
Who and how to be
Be the peace
You claim to seek
And spread peace of mind
And maybe just maybe
Then we will see
Peace in our time
