It kills me that we live this way
But hey at this point common sense
Not exactly common
And manners
As well as self respect
Seem like ideas
Nothing short of foreign
Tell me
My dear society
What the hell happened
To make even common sense
Something so uncommon
And why are we so proud
Of ourselves
For living in a world
Where self respect
Has become oh so foreign
We need to respect ourselves
And others more than we do
And use common sense a hell
Of a lot more too
Because maybe if we do
We will start to see
A better world
For me and you
