Freedom Of The Mind And Serenity Of The Soul

Freedom of the mind
And serenity of the soul
Is under your control
And yours alone
People fear
What they don't understand
And fear and hate
Unfortunately go
Hand in hand
But to that nonsense
You have the choice
Not to give in
You do have the freedom
And the right
To raise your own voice
And say this isn't right
We need to see past the
Cover of the book
That is each other
And learn to see
The reality
Of who each other are
The people you think you know
They also
Think they know you
And chances are
Neither side
Is even close to being right
We need to put
Our differences aside
Swallow our pride
Open our hearts,
Souls, and minds
And not only start seeing
But accepting
Who we ourselves
And who others are inside
