I try to pretend to day is the day I will not cry.
Try to convince myself that I won’t lie,
I won’t let myself ask you why?
I look to heaven silently wishing,
I did not know what I was missing.
I don’t hear you laugh, see you smile, hear you call my name, feel you touch,
Wish it did not hurt so much.
In heaven there is no pain,
But here on earth it is not the same.
I am full of heartache, confusion, and grief,
While you are surrounded by joy, peace, and love,
I am living in hell, you are watching from above.
There are no tears in heaven, so sadness and no fear,
I wish I could tell you it was the same down here.
I am just counting down the days till God call me home,
Some day we will never be alone.
