Fly up to heaven, and do not fear,
You are needed there more than you are down here.
Fly up to heaven do not wait,
Do not look back, don’t hesitate.
If the chose was up to me,
You would stay here and never leave,
So I would not hurt, would have no cause to grieve.
But the choice was never mine,
I can only pray that my heart will heal in time.
I pray for wisdom to understand,
Why god needed you so much little man.
I pray for growth in every area that I lack,’
God forgive me, but I want you back.
I would get to hold you in my arms, instead of in my heart,
We would never have to be apart.
I would never want you to go away,
I am selfish enough to make you stay.
Play with the angels, and smile when Jesus sings you lullabies
And overlook the tears that fall from my eyes,
My tears are filled with so much love, And because I miss you.
Please know I will see you again when my life is through.
Do not worry about me, I will be fine,
I know we will be together.
In God’s time.
I know you will be at the pearly gates,
But your bothers still need me now, so you will have to wait.
