Words can be like dump trucks that carry our emotions to a virtual dumping ground. Thing is, if they aren't ready to be trashed it's as if they have a mind of their own and they come right back to us like a lost kitten finds it's way home. ♥
...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
so it would be! I am really starting to think we should make a post poems conferance and get everyone who wnats to, to get together and have writing workshops! A few of us talked about it a couple years ago when I went to Ireland....
My first thought was how do I get an invite to to the cool swings. Swinging takes me back, way back. Ireland. When did you go to Ireland. Workshop conference works only if poets willing to edit their perfect work. Some are amenable, some are diabolically opposed and it makes for wars of words, ultimately. Not a good idea, friends will conference on piece of art by request but poet has to decide if the critique is valid - mutual admiration comes from developed friendships on pp and other sites, but here, occasionally, light is shed for improvment or a typo with a light brushstroke (smile). I have an editor's mind, I was born to drive writers crazier - Love to all ~yr crazed and curious allets~
p.s. "I must say something to survive" is one fine line poet. It is the image of allets indeed! - Thanks for the fine words about writers who survive (in part) via words. - slc
