It was so intense that my toes even wept

You could hear the squish of my shoes on the bleached tiles

I went to the Emergency Room, and found there wasn't much left of you

The man had disfigured hands

He said, if he couldn't write then he couldn't die

And if he couldn't die, then he could never have the peace God promised him



I went to the Coke machine.



Along the halls, everything was broken and battered

The smell of blood and urine made me put my drink down, so,
