Sometimes Being A Coward Is The Right Thing To Do

Everyday I sweat blood and bone for you
I watch you from a window
I starve to hear you sing

My ribs curve toward you and
back to me
And I remember there is a
wall standing

A line not to be crossed
I can't touch you because there
is no life after that
There is no going home to
an empty bed and being satisfied

I am like any other poet
Fenced inside brutal emotion
Watching the thing they want most want
something else
Writing down the words I'll never say out loud

I can't crawl inside your skin and

still keep my sanity

Im sorry

Liked The Form

unusual cadence, not quite a lyric, but close - nice drama!
