"Crumpled Paper" - (working title)

Folder:
Incomplete

A hypocrite’s prayer

Leaves a fool’s lips tonight

“Please don’t forget me

Though I’m trying

To forget you.”

A prayer to a saint uncrowned

In the Chapel of Liars

An empty hall by candelight

With flames that tremble

In burning eyes

Prayers on crumpled papers

At the feet of holy stone

Then rising, she turns and flees the night

Promises unkept fluttering away

And a votive dies

On the passing breeze

I am running out of words to describe your poetry! I don't even know what to say anymore except "beautiful".
