On Love

I took a book out of the library in hope of learning love.
Instead I found a nice little passage filled with mystery and ambiguity.
After a month of late fees I returned the book
And looked elsewhere fo answers.
I watched,
Cafefully,
Two in a restaurant,
Touching, eating, laughing, glancing.
I called to the waiter
Asking for the menu.
I went right for the dessert figuring it to be the likely spot.
Chocalate eclairs, raspberry sherbert topped with a cherry, apple pie, and a long list of bananna whipped treats.
I panicked when I saw the coffee appear next.
I couldn't find it;
It wasn't on the menu.
I grabbed the waiter's eye and pulled him over to my table.
He looked at me, contorted contenence.
I said Love
That's what I want;
Love for one.
He smiled knowingly and told me about the house specialty
It came in two portions not one.
I paid the check with a napkin full of tears
And asked for directions to the nearest braille library.
