Games (Chessboard)

To go back,

two must go forth.

Along the path,

of self-proclaimed worth.

At dawn, commence,

this life-long game.

Like chessboard pawns,

checkmate to fame.

Three squares to deceit.

Two more to lies.

Two players begin.

Yet, one survives.

Twisting the souls

together as one…

…effect of the game;

Cause: this never-ending run.

Though there is more pleasure,

then pain as two.

the one know sees hope

in what was all along true.

Two into one

may have ripped into hearts,

as the two bestowed force

to keep them apart.

But in the end

it proved right for the change,

that the one they shared…

….in the chapters of life, turned the page.
