Even through you were here for so long,
I took for granted our time.
I knew you all my life,
my best friend.
You were here to guide me yesterday,
you still guide me today.
Though I can’t see you,
I know you’re here.
I can feel you here in my heart.
It’s hard to not have you here to hold me.
You’re not here to comfort me.
I know you hear me.
I know you can see me.
I know I’ve made mistakes since you left.
I’ve tried so hard to be strong.
