I woke up from this deep slumber 

In a world of darkness & solitude

You've awakened something in me

That I no longer knew existed 

Peeling away the layers

That I spent so much time applying ...

A breath of fresh air

In a cloudy room ...

You revived me

Resurrecting my heart

With each breath

My heart beats stronger ... 

For you. 

Manifestation of unknown emotions emerge

To the surface they appear

For all to see

You breathed life back into me

A corpse among the living

I forgot how it feels 

To care for another ...

With your kiss

This fire grew & with your

Touch it became an inferno

Blazing bright in my soul

No need to wear my heart on my sleeve

You have it under lock & key ...

I woke up from this dark slumber 

Resurrected & anew

I woke up

To find you.
