An outer shell surrounds me
hard and rough
tough to the touch
nothing breaks through
this solid exterior
keeping me safe from harm
yet there is no escape either
my safe haven has become a prison
for I'm trapped inside
this perplexity of emotions...
A kaliedoscope of
colors brighter than the
sun surrounds me in
my space
each filled with
thoughts of those once loved
ones who want love
and those I wouldn't mind loving...
