Must be done

It feels like emptiness

Like shallow seas

To feel happiness

Even though you’re overseen

Just the hint of a smile

And illusions fly

Your heart pumps like wild

Over this nonchalant guy

You mistake a simple “Hello”

For a quiet “I love you”

Your soul begins to glow

If only it would too

Even though you know the reality

And don’t expect more than you should

You still want with intensity

Though it doesn’t feel good

It is terrible want, to need

A warm kiss upon thy brow

But it pays no heed

Not ever, not now

When will I ever accept

That you’re merely a figment

When will I cease to expect

stop desiring significance

For now I’m in too deep

I begin to crawl out

Even though the escape is steep

It must be done without a doubt
