All morning I’ve wanted to hold you

Close and forever in my arms

I watched your beautiful head shift

From side to side on the pillow

Tempted to touch you

But I didn’t want to awaken you



I hate myself today unlike you

My tears have unraveled my mind

And all I wanted was to be away

In your arms close and forever

Touching you, and fall asleep

Can you feel me melt beside you?



I watched you breathe and sigh

For seconds, the minutes of watching

Little whispers, sweeping you off

I tell you that I love you

Can you hear me in your sleep?

Can you feel me melt beside you now?
