A genuine smile on my face
If only lasting for a moment
My try to save the day
Sometimes yes
Others no
And watching your lips
Creep at the corners upwards into a crescent
Is what would save my moment
So that if later
I was lonely
I could ponder that reflection
And possibly use it for a medicine
For my heart
While I could go on for quite some time about this one, I'll try to sum it up in this...
Lauren, your poems never cease to amaze me.
