Today I dropped my ring,
the silver band with the amber,
I dropped it somewhere along the way,
I noticed it gone and I cried.
I don’t know why I cried,
it was just a ring, just a piece of metal
with a gem.
And we traced back our steps,
I still cried.
I didn’t know why I was crying.
You gave me the ring,
I’ve gotten rings before,
and lost a few I’m sure.
But none did I cry over.
It’s just a ring,
just a piece of metal
with a gem,
the silver band
with the amber.
And somewhere along the way it slipped
off my finger, and fell to the ground.
And somewhere along the way,
I cried.
The ring was what you gave to me,
And I don’t know
when I’ll see you,
Losing the ring was like losing you,
and I surprised at my reaction.
I never cried for a ring before,
and now I don’t know
what you do to me.
